šÆ The High Striker Showdown: A Fredericksburg Oktoberfest Tradition
If youāve ever wandered through Fredericksburgās Oktoberfest on Saturday afternoon and heard the clang of a bell followed by cheers, youāve found the High Striker Contest ā one of the most beloved (and loudest!) events of the weekend.

Every year at 5 p.m. on Saturday, contestants line up to test their strength, stamina, and determination. Each competitor gets two minutes to ring the bell as many times as they can, and trust me ā itās harder than it looks!
This yearās contest didnāt disappoint. Denton took the win with an incredible 32 bell rings in just two minutes! ššŖ Thatās some serious muscle power.
Then came the Hall of Fame Challenge, where we invite back past champions to go head-to-head for bragging rights and glory. The results? Pure excitement:
š„ Luke ā 40 rings
š„ Ransom ā 37 rings
š„ James ā 35 rings

Watching these Hall of Famers battle it out never gets old ā the crowd was electric, the bells were ringing, and the energy was unbeatable.
Eric, Ryder, and I absolutely love being part of this event each year. Youāll usually find me with the megaphone counting down the final seconds, while Ryder helps with the Junior Striker and sneaks in a few bell rings of his own.

This contest is a staple of Oktoberfest and one you wonāt want to miss next year. Limited entries mean youāve got to get there early ā and bring your A-game!
This year marked the 45th Fredericksburg Oktoberfest, and itās always such a joy to see the community come together in Dirndls, Lederhosen, and plenty of laughter. š»
Prost to another great year ā and to all the bell-ringers who keep the tradition alive!
